We thought this would solve the problem but the older usher wanted no parts of the situation and the young usher, understandably, had no balls to get in between this dispute. puh-leaze! we told the owner who was at the gate frantically grabbing money as fast as he could and he said to talk to an usher and actually called one. We politely asked 1 customer to move after pointing out he was in the wrong space and in typical Pittsburgh trailer-trash fashion he wanted to fight us. what's the big deal you say? well-there's a reason the spots are for small cars because now the children sitting in the backs of our minivans can't see the screen. unfortunately-most of them also drive suv's and minivans and since there's no room left they park in the row for small cars directly in front of our group. The movie gets so crowded and they keep letting people in. we get there early and get our spaces, tie our tailgates down so we don't bother anyone behind us, set up our own tailgate area with trash bags so we don't litter the place up and settle in for a nice evening. 2nd -you can't ever get anyone on the phone-just a recording. First -you can't make reservations which would be a nice addition. Most of us had mini-vans and the like so we chose the first (aqua) row for minivans towards the back of the theater.
We had 12 cars this year for a total of 42 people.
We like the Dependable because they have a nice setup and allow you to bring in some of your own food and beverages realizing that you'll still buy from the snack bar. Each year for the last 4 years we planned an outing with our friends and chose a children's movie (this year minions) to go see. Now, to be fair-we like this place but this year was the exception to the rule unfortunately.
